Choosing a DJ is often
overwhelming and confusing, yet it's the most crucial decision you will make for
the success of your wedding reception.
1. Start with a wedding specialist. For your
once in a lifetime event, you
shouldn't take chances with a
" friend of a friend" or a dj that doesn't
specialize in weddings. Although people mean
well; lack of wedding experience, skill, & quality equipment can result in a poor performance &
guests leaving early.
2. Meet with the DJ's that interest you. This is not a
decision that should be made over the phone! You must be
sure you are comfortable with the DJ's style, personality,
and overall presentation. Make sure the DJ is the
perfect match for you!
3. Check the history of the DJ entertainer/company. Do they have
specific wedding references? Request to read actual
written testimonials with signatures. Call several of their references
to find out why the bride & groom loved their DJ services.
4. Don't use "low price" as your deciding factor.
DJ's who charge less for their
services are either new in the business, have less
experience, &/or DJ as a side hobby. Don't sacrifice quality,
experience, & value just to save a few bucks
on the key vendor responsible for the success
of your reception!
